Jacqualine Bloomfield UTD Diploma - Principal

Jackie is the school's Principal.  Jackie has been teaching with the school for over 40 years.  She started as a pupil herself, but in 1977 she formed the Ipswich branch of the school together with her mum, Mrs Hedley.

When the school's founder, Margaret Spencer, died in 1997, Jackie became the school's Principal.

One of Jackie's passions is to see babes come to her as young cygnets , and to see them gradually turn into beautiful swans as they develop their love of dance.

Michelle Leeson MUTD - Teacher

Michelle is Jackie's daughter and has been associated with the School ever since she was able to walk.

Michelle is now married with two children and she still teaches for Jackie, carrying on the family tradition. Her daughters Emelia and Isabelle have already started dancing lessons, so maybe they will also be Marwyn teachers in the future.

Tricia Bewers MUTD MBBO - Teacher

Tricia's mother, Margaret Spencer founded the school in 1946.  Tricia grew up around the school and was a pupil from an early age.  In 2000, Tricia joined the team, as a teacher at the Felixstowe studio.

Tanya Verow - Teacher

Tanya has been dancing at with the Marwyn School of Dancing for 34 years, and has been teaching with the school since 2002.

She trained at De Montfort University gaining both a BA Honours in Dance with Theatre studies and a PGCE in Secondary Dance Education. Tanya is also a teacher of Performing Arts and Dance at One Sixth Form College in Ipswich.

She loves the ethos of Marwyn, its sense of family, and loves seeing young dancers develop their passion and skills for dance.

Harriet Bacon - Teacher

Harriet has been dancing at Marwyn since she was 4 years old.  She has since gone on to train at Performer's College where she graduated with a Trinity National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre in 2016 after successfully gaining a scholarship.

Harriet's credits whilst training, include 'Skylar' in 'Bring It On, The Musical', featured vocalist in 'Shake, Break, Bounce', featured vocalist in 'Souled Out'.

Harriet's professional credits include X-Factor, FA Cup Final, Ideal Home Exhibition, Felixstowe's Summer Spectacular and Jacki in the Beanstalk at The Hall for Cornwall.

Nick Barrett White  -  Secretary/Website/Photography

Nick has been associated with Marwyn for over 15 years and provides support for the school with newsletters, posters and all things secretarial, as well as supporting Jackie in getting information out to parents.  Nick is also a photographer, and does a photoshoot for pupils after each show.  He is designer and webmaster for the Marwyn website.
